Mogherini: EU to focus also on military approach
At the Ministerial Meeting of NATO ministers in Antalya, Turkey, Federica Mogherini said that the EU “cannot rule out a military aspect of our work in the region and in the world.” This statement comes after the presentation of an EU Agenda on Migration, which will most likely include military action.
At the meeting, ministers discussed amongst others migrant trafficking across the Mediterranean and the situation in Ukraine. Furthermore, NATO announced that it will increase cooperation with the EU, Finland and Sweden.
